We usually respond within 1–2 business days.

1. Download the app from the App Store on your iPhone.
2. Download the on-device model when the app prompts you. Stay on Wi‑Fi if the download is large, and keep the app in the foreground until it finishes.
3. Create a companion using the in-app steps to name and personalize them.
4. Start chatting—your messages are processed on-device after the model is installed.

• Model download not starting

  Check Wi‑Fi or cellular data, disable Low Data Mode if it is on for Wi‑Fi, and try force-quitting and reopening the app. If nothing happens, reboot your iPhone and start the download again.

• App feels slow on older devices

  On-device AI needs CPU, GPU, and memory. Close other apps, avoid very long threads in one sitting, and give the model time after large updates. Older iPhones may run warmer or take longer to generate replies.

• Chats not generating

  Confirm the model finished downloading, you have enough free storage, and the app has not been left in a bad state after an iOS update. Try starting a new message; if it persists, reinstalling the app may help (note: local data may be removed—back up anything important first).

• Memory not updating as expected

  Memory features depend on settings and how the companion is configured. Check in-app memory or companion settings, send a clear follow-up in chat, and restart the app if the UI looks stuck.

• App crashes or freezes

  Update to the latest iOS and the latest friendAI version from the App Store. If a specific action always crashes, email support@friendai.pro with what you tapped right before it happened.

Chats are generated on your iPhone after the model is downloaded—friendAI is built so your conversation content is not sent to our servers for reply generation. For full details on data handling, permissions, and your choices, read our Privacy Policy.

• Supported device: iPhone.
• Minimum iOS: iOS 17 or later (confirm on the App Store listing).
• Internet: Required for downloading the on-device model (and any future online features we may describe in-app). Day-to-day chatting runs locally after the model is installed.

Does friendAI require an account?

No. The core experience is designed to work without signing in.

Are my chats stored in the cloud?

Chats and companion data are meant to stay on your device. We do not upload your messages to friendAI servers to generate replies. See the Privacy Policy for exceptions (such as model downloads from third-party hosts).

Can I create multiple companions?

Yes. You can build more than one companion in the app.

Does group chat work offline?

After the model is on your device, group-style conversations are processed locally—you do not need a network connection for the AI to respond.

How do I delete my data?

Remove content inside the app where available, or delete the app from your iPhone to clear its sandbox data (subject to your own backups). For information you emailed to us, contact support@friendai.pro.
